- Must Be 25 Years Old
- Have a Class A CDL Drivers License
- Must Enter Our Training Program
- Must Be Drug Free

Getting Started Driving with lightning transport
The process of driving with us is very simple and our drivers find it very rewarding, informative and a lot of fun. Here is our six step process of getting you behind the wheel driving for Lightning Transport.

1. Apply Online
Simply click here and you will be directed to our simple online application form.
2. Interview
You will meet with our experienced recruitment team and we will find out if we are a good fit with each other.
3. Onboarding
Standard process will vet you with a Background Check, a standard Drug Test and we will fill out the paperwork needed.
4. Training
Here is where some of the fun begins. We will put you through our in house Smith System training program that lasts a day. After you learn that, we put you behind the wheel of our state of the art simulator and teach you the ropes!
5. Assignment
After you complete your training you are ready to drive! We then assign you one of our amazing Volvo VNL Series trucks and get you in our dispatch system.
6. Get On The Road!
You made it! It's time to get on the road and start your career as a Lightning driver!
